چکیده
A soft~are packcage for both the thermodynamic properties computa-~ic~and tne analysis of usual vapor compression plant schemes is anusefu: tool for air conditioning and refrigeration researchers and mani-facture>s. At ~hePresent time, it could sUPPlY an important contribu-tion to search for CFCs substitutes; in fact, comparisons between two ormore ~o•king fluids could be accomolished more easilY. A code carriedout by the authors is presented by means of some demonstrative diagramsre~erring to a comparison between the "ozone killer" R12 and its substi-tute R134a. The Rl34a exergy-enthalpy chart is provided too.

Multi objective optimization of the MED-TVC system with exergetic and heat transfer analysis
The mathematical model to predict the performance and the exergetic efficiency in a multi-effect desalination system with thermal vapor compression (MED-TVC system) has been presented. The energy and the concentration conservation law were developed for each effect, considering the boiling point elevation and the various thermodynamic losses by developing the mathematical models. These analyses...
متن کاملComparable Performance Evaluation of Hc and Hfc Refrigerants in an Optimized System
This paper presents an analytical evaluation of isobutane (R600a), propane (R290), R134a, R22, R410A, and R32 in a vapor compression system used for comfort cooling applications. The evaluation method was based on a system simulation model that was complimented with an evolutionary computation module for the optimization of refrigerant circuitries in the evaporator and condenser. The evaluation...
متن کاملComparative Exergy Analysis of Vapor Compression Refrigeration System Using Alternative Refrigerants
Abstract—In present paper, the performance of various alternative refrigerants is compared to find the substitute of R22, the widely used hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerant in developing countries. These include the environmentally friendly hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants such as R134A, R410A, R407C and M20. In the present study, a steady state thermodynamic model (includes both first and...
متن کاملExergy Analysis of Vapour and Sorption Cooling Processes
Exergy is precious energy. On the basis of thermodynamic analysis of thermal processes, one can choose more exergy-saving devices. This is especially important in refrigeration processes, in which the consumption of energy and exergy increases considerably with the falling cooling temperature. The exergy efficiency in terms of exergy losses of vapour compression and sorption cooling processes i...
متن کاملEnvironmental Impacts of Halogenated Refrigerants and Their Alternatives: Recent Developments
A certain percentage of the vapor compression based refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems continue to run on halogenated refrigerants due to its excellent thermodynamic and thermo-physical properties along with the low cost. However, the halogenated refrigerants have adverse environmental impacts such as ozone layer depletion potential and global warming. Hence, it is necessary ...
